Aptech off to Malaysia

Aptech has finally decided to wrap up in India and head for Malaysia. Aptech's CEO Pramod Khera cites that since cost of skilled workers in India had risen sharply Malaysia is a more attractive destination because of its good manpower and infrastructure facilities.

By 'good' Pramod meant 'cheap'. With Aptech now heading to cheaper destinations the day, it seems, is not far when other companies will quickly follow suit. Wonder, should we say that the death-kneel of Indian e-learning has been struck?

That's news to me. Hey do you mean to say that even with this shabby salary we are costly?

Yours is a good blog but some frauds are spoiling the effort. Pls stop them from putting all that trash information.

By the way Aptech's issue is really serious. You have also left me wondering. Is this actually the beginning of the end???? God knows

this is not the beginning of the end. We need to brace ourselves to the changung realities. Today it might be malaysia, tomorrow it might be sacndinavia. We get business because we are 'chea' .....high time we get rid of that label and start focussing on the value delivered !!

This may be true according to Aptech. But many overseas companies are trying to start their business of elearning and software in India. As a person who worked with Malaysian projects, It is not that much easy to survive and satisfy in the malaysian industry since their regulations are much more heavy than India. It may be an idea infact. But it is not possible. I am promoting a malaysian company in India, since they feel India is much cheaper in the cost of production. In India you cant have 5 leisure hours inbetween the working hours. And for Aptech thats not possible. Since I have been with both the sectors. You can purely omit this comment. Aptech may have an Offshore Office in Malaysia. Malaysia is best for Tourism. Recently you must come across with the partialism that occured in Malaysia. What a joke? You can bill the Client for millions and can pay the Employees some pennies.
